How to dress for snowboarding?

One of the fundamental snowboarders errors is bad dressing up the slope. Jeans and a simple jacket are not recommended for driving on the board, because they are made largely of cotton. Cotton absorbs water from our body and environment, water particles freeze and cause a cooling of the body.

The best solution is dressing up for "onion", ie in several layers of clothing. This way, when it gets hot we can remove one layer of yourself and avoid welding when we feel the chill back to dress. Here are tips on how to best dress on board.

Things you need
sports bra (women), Underwear (socks + shirt), Snowboard socks
+ longsleeve ordinary gaiters - optional if there is a large cold
blouse (preferably assumed by the head), Snowboard pants, Snowboard jacket, bandana around his neck (when cold), helmet, cap (when cold)
balaclava (a very practical thing - your nose and cheeks do not freeze)
Snowboard gloves x 2 (as the snow is wet we will need additional dry pair of gloves), Normal gloves (you can wear under snowboard gloves to make it warmer or wear before and after the ride), Snowboard boots
goggles (required when the wind blows, it's cold or snowing)

Remember cotton is not recommended for winter days, including the slope. Woven fabrics of cotton or mixed with cotton absorb water and remain moist by cooling the body. Therefore, it is a good dressing of bare flesh t-shirts and leggings. They can be possibly founded as a second layer of clothing.

The base layer
Probably the most important addition to the protective layer of our skin. This layer must be a material with wicking properties to help keep your skin dry. The three basic elements form the basic layer: underpants, undershirt with long sleeves and socks. At this layer are suitable synthetic fibers such as polyester and polypropylene, contained in the materials companies such as Capilene, Polartec, Camolax. From such fibers is made Underwear (underwear snowboard, ski, sport), which can be purchased at any sporting goods store.
The middle layer
The middle layer should be formed from the same materials as the base layer to draw moisture away from skin, but it is no longer so very important, as the first layer of clothing. The second layer should wear a sweatshirt, fleece or wool sweater. If it is very cold it is good to wear underneath (for underwear thermoactive) additional T-shirt with long sleeves and even a pair of leggings.
The outer layer
It creates a coating that prevents the attachment of the snow. At this layer are suitable snowboard pants and jackets. The outer layer of clothes should be made of waterproof materials, but breathable.
Accessories
These are the last step to maintain the heat. The basic layers do not envelop all parts of the body. - Helmet (and / or cap) is required to keep the head warm. It is not enough band, most heat escapes through the head. I recommend a helmet because it allows us safer and it is warm. - Mask protects the neck and face from frost and wind. It will be useful, when it gets really cold. Instead, you can use a mask on your face balaclavas. Both the mask and balaclava should have a hole in the nose and around the mouth hole. If these openings are not (as with scarves) the material quickly gets wet, cold and exhaled air rises. - Gloves will be useful to hands to keep them still warm. They should be, of course, snowboard gloves that are warm and waterproof. If your hands are freezing frequently use the glove with one finger, making it easier to keep them warm. You can also buy gloves with pockets for inserts warming. It is advisable to also carry a second pair of gloves that will be useful if the first pair gets wet. In addition to the snowboard gloves add to bag a pair of regular gloves. If it is cold you can wear them under gloves, snowboard and if not - certainly useful before or after driving on the board.
